For the most part, our new house is pretty organized. Things are in their place and the decorating is well on its way. My sewing room on the other hand is a completely different story. It's a disaster. Basically it became the catch-all for everything that doesn't have a place yet and I swear it's moving in on me.
I have plans for this room, I really do... but when there's sewing to do and books to read and gardens to garden and BBQs to BBQ, this room just isn't top priority.
That being said I thought if I posted pictures of the mess, it would get me motivated to do something with it.
The lighting isn't great in these pics, but really, do you need to see them clearly???
There is one good thing about this room so far: the view.
Howdy y'all! Today is a holiday in Canada...a cold holiday so far (6 degrees!) so while I wait for the weather to warm up (yes I know I'm a wimp) I thought I'd show you a couple pics of the blanket I finished off yesterday for C.
It's a pretty simple blanket. C wanted a stroller blanket for her daughter so she gave me some fleece she picked up and I had a left over yard of this Anna Maria Horner fabric that went well. I had a bit of a fight with the fleece and after I was finished I relized that home dec fabric probably isn't the best fabric to use for a child's blanket but at least it looks pretty :) So that's that. As soon as it gets a bit warmer I'm heading out for a bike ride along the lake shore and then to see Star Trek...yes I'm excited to see Star Trek. Hmmm maybe I'll ride my bike to Star Trek...
Isn't she cute? This is my sister Stacey who agreed to be my model for the day. Well there was something in her for her -- she wanted me to take some pics for her website.
I finally finished this tote last week. I'm calling her fleur for all the flowers and for the fact that Stacey is in Paris right now making her way to the Cannes Film Festival. I want to be in Paris right now! Actually, since it's my 1 year anniversary on Friday, I'd love to be in Italy. Man how time flies.
