The day after our Thanksgiving Dinner, we woke up late, ate breakfast and sat around. We were lazy and we loved it.

Alison Matchett! Alison wrote the following comment on my Facebook page:

Contest Submission! I would stuff the clutch with the Tim Hortons grind I have to take to work in order to have a decent cup of coffee!

Alison is my co-worker and she's referring to the coffee she has to bring to work because we don't have the best stuff to drink at the office ;) I put all the contest names in my toque in case you were wondering how I picked!

Congrats Alison and thanks to everyone who played! If you're looking for more lealou goodies, visit my etsy site here.

Happy {Canadian} Thanksgiving

Friday, October 09, 2009

Well the contest is closed and I received some pretty cute submissions, both here and on my Facebook page. Thanks to everyone who commented, and for your nice comments at that. I will announce the contest winner next week.

This weekend is Thanksgiving here in the big C and I'm hosting my first one. I'm picking up the gobbler later today, which should be interesting. I reserved one at the butcher around the corner and I've noticed that he leaves some feathery stumps and things on the whole chickens you can get there, and I'm really hoping he doesn't leave them on the turkeys. I'm not sure I could handle that :| How do you get those out? Break out my tweezers? ACK. I'm sure I'll figure it out.

So have a great weekend everyone. I hope you're gatherings are filled with fun and laughter. Above all else; let's be thankful for what we have. I'm thankful for the amazing friends and family I have around me (there are some pretty cool peeps).

What are you thankful for?

Gobble gobble!

bowled over

A good friend of mine gave Mark and me a box of these bowls for a wedding gift last year...

I set them up around the house for fun, and always looking for ways to reuse an empty box, I found the perfect spot for my jewelry that was in need of some serious organization.

Some might notice I have a slight obsession with earrings from sulu-design.

one year and a contest!

Thursday, October 01, 2009

So it has been one year since starting up my little lealou shop and I'm excited to share some new things I've been working on. But first... to celebrate my one year anniversary, I'm having a little contest giveaway!

This is called The Fall Leaves Clutch and you could be its owner! How you ask? Become a fan of my Facebook page and leave a comment telling me all the things you would stuff into this thing. If you're already a fan, be sure to leave a comment because you're eligible for the contest too! Now I know some of you don't like Facebook, so if you don't have an account; just leave a comment here and I'll add you to the contest.

The contest closes one week from today at 11:59pm (if you're still up that late!).

on to the new stuff...

This is Kaite my 'little' sister.

She's about 10 feet taller than me and I can fit both of my feet into one of her shoes which makes her perfect modeling material dontcha think?

She's holding the Fall Leaves Tote. If you like this little number, trek on over to my shop for a peek. There are more goodies over there that I'll feature on the blog this week and next.

Happy Thursday and don't forget to enter the contest!
